2. Tal Barahi Temple

Also called the Lake Temple or Varahi Temple, this two-story pagoda sits on a small island in Fewa Lake. Dedicated to Goddess Varahi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, it is visited by both Hindu and Buddhist followers. According to legend, King Kulmandhan Shah built the temple after seeing a divine dream.


3. International Mountain Museum

Located in Pokhara-17, the International Mountain Museum displays a remarkable collection of artifacts, climbing gear, photographs, and stories about the Himalayas, its people, and explorers. The museum highlights the 14 highest peaks, famous expeditions, and the culture of mountain communities, making it a must-visit for travelers interested in mountains and adventure.


4. Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple

The Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple is a cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva near the point where the Seti River emerges from underground. A self-emerging Shiva Lingam was discovered in the 3 km-long cave during the 16th century. Beyond its spiritual importance, the cave provides visitors with a chance to explore its natural wonders.


5. Davis Falls

Davis Falls in Pokhara is an extraordinary waterfall that creates a 500-foot-long underground tunnel at its base. Known locally as Patale Chhango (“underground waterfall”), it is fed by the Fewa Lake Dam and surrounded by lush flora, making it a beautiful and unique attraction.


6. Sarangkot

Situated on the scenic Sarangkot Mountain, Sarangkot is famous for its sunrise and sunset views of Annapurna. It is also the take-off site for paragliding. Located at 1,600 meters above sea level, the village offers mesmerizing views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu ranges, along with the Pokhara valley below.

7. Gorkha Museum Pokhara

It is near Mahendra Pul, the Gorkha Museum honors the service of Gurkha soldiers who joined the British Army in 1815. The museum displays photographs and artifacts that highlight the bravery and history of the Gurkhas.

8. Bindhabasini Temple

This ancient temple, perched on a small hill, is dedicated to Goddess Durga, an incarnation of Devi Parvati. The worshiped idol is a Shaligram, believed to have been brought by King Siddhi Narayan Shah from Bindhyachal in India. The temple also offers panoramic views of Pokhara city.

9. Mahendra Cave

Located in Batulechaur, Mahendra Cave is a limestone cave named after King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. The cave contains calcium salt deposits forming stalactites and stalagmites, and a statue of Lord Shiva adds religious significance. It is a popular site for tourists who enjoy exploring natural formations.

10. World Peace Pagoda

The World Peace Pagoda, located in Pumdibhumdi, is a Buddhist stupa on a hilltop overlooking Fewa Lake. It symbolizes peace and provides panoramic views of the Annapurna range. Visitors can reach the stupa by hiking or a short drive followed by steps, making it perfect for meditation and photography.

11. Begnas Lake

Located in Lekhnath, Begnas Lake is smaller and quieter than Fewa Lake. It is ideal for fishing, boating, and relaxing away from the crowds. Surrounded by green hills and farmland, the lake offers a peaceful retreat with calm waters reflecting the natural scenery.

12. Pumdi Bhumdi Mahadev Temple

Situated near the World Peace Pagoda, Pumdi Bhumi Mahadev Temple sits on a hilltop and provides panoramic views of surrounding hills and valleys. Devotees visit especially during Shivaratri to offer prayers and participate in rituals. The temple’s tranquil surroundings make it ideal for meditation, reflection, and short hikes.
